SUMMER MISSION TRIP 2026

Firehouse Youth is heading back to the mountains! In 2024 we fell in love with Hinton Rural Life Center — the worship was powerful, the food was great, the programming was incredible, and the Blue Ridge Mountain setting was breathtaking. It felt like the best of a camp and a mission trip all in one. We're thrilled to be going back this summer.

WHO: Current 7th–12th graders (2025–2026 school year)

WHEN: July 18–24, 2026 (overnight at Firehouse July 18; depart early morning July 19; return Friday night July 24)

WHERE: Hinton Rural Life Center, Hayesville, NC (Blue Ridge Mountains)

COST: $600 per participant.
$100 deposit due by April 30.
Remaining $500 due by July 1.
Covers Hinton Center registration, transportation, lodging, meals at Hinton, fun day activities, and a trip t-shirt.
Students will need to bring money for meals on travel days (approximately 2 meals each way).

WHAT WE'LL DO

Through Hinton's Safe and Healthy Home Repair ministry, students will spend three days serving families in the local Appalachian community — building wheelchair ramps, repairing porches and floors, painting, and more. No experience needed! The week also includes daily worship and devotional time, poverty awareness activities, Appalachian Culture Night with live music and dancing, staff-camper challenges, and a fun day at the lake. Students stay in comfortable lodge accommodations with beds, linens, and bathrooms.

SCHEDULE

Saturday, July 18 — Dinner and overnight stay at Firehouse
Sunday, July 19 — Early morning departure; arrive at Hinton by dinner
Monday–Wednesday, July 20–22 — Mission work, worship, devotionals, Appalachian Culture Night
Thursday, July 23 — Fun day (TBA)
Friday, July 24 — Depart Hinton; return home Friday night
